Coping with a following sea
Some tips to help you cope with a small swell
- Stay upright to forwards for balance.
- Relax and let the boat move around.
- If you like it as the wave picks up the stern of your boat apply power and enjoy a small surf.
- If you dont like it as the wave picks you up back paddle a couple of strokes to escape!
The paddler in the video is a bit ridgid and nervous but for her 3rd day out its not bad. She is starting to get to grips with balance and the odd support stroke.
